    Sorry about opening a post just to ask this but ive been seeing reports that there IS a new BIOS update for the G51 (IKAS V, " the new asus g51" pg ~182

    and also that there will *not* be a BIOS released.

    anyone's input in clearing this up is appreciated. thanks - noob.

    It could be an update to include support for Quad Core since it seems from at least one poster that their Quad (ES) will not play nice in their G51 with current BIOS.

    As we know that Quad equipped G51s are on the horizon it is not to much of a stretch to think that maybe an updated BIOS with Quad Core support will be inside.

    The general consensus is that quads work as-is.

    Edit: Never mind, I saw the thread.

    yeah that could be. the only BIOS they have on their website right now is for an updated 3dMark06 file to run correctly.

    Quads should run as is.. but im not worried either way cuz i'd rather stick with C2D anyways.
