Almost all sources I found on the internet(including Asus official website) says that the maximum RAM for Asus G51j-3D is 4GB.

But laptopmag.com says 8GB in their review:
    http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/asus-g51j-3d.aspx

I suppose laptopmag.com is right and all others are wrong?

Because it will be ridiculous if this gaming machine can take 4GB while Asus UL30VT-X1(thin & light & long battery life) can take up to 8GB...

    Thank you in advance.

It can support up to 8GB, sometimes Asus specs says 4GB that means they only tested up to 4GB but that doesn't means it won't support more than 4GB.

hmmm, its nice to know that my G51J-A1 can support 8GB, but im wondering if it can handle DDR3-1333 or DDR3-1600 which is now available!

(im pretty sure its see's 1333 ok, but i wonder if it will run 1600 @ 1600!)

    DDR 1333 worked as well.
