    Hey all,

Just got my new Asus for Christmas and was wondering, what kind of warranties come with the refurb model? the computer was bought from Buy.com. Do the Asus factory warranties still apply?

Also, am i still eligible to get my free windows 7 upgrade?
If so, how do i go about doing this?

    Thanks for the help

Just note that the G60 will be at $899 for 2 days, so its $100 more than refurb, but its new, just in case it matters.

pretty sure the refurbs come with a 90 day warranty, you can buy additional warranty from mackam for $100 USD 3 years..

and yes you are eligible for the free windows 7 upgrade, there is a thread on this

Just a quick question for the other refurb owners, what sort of condition was the laptop in when you received it? Mine had small scratches around the power button areas + the left palmrest was very slightly worn as well as the battery and battery port having light scraping. Told the seller he should not put "brand new refurbished condition" in his ad...

    Thanks

Its a refurbished laptop...all he meant was it was unopened probably. Sounds like he said nothing about the condition, I would think "refurbished" in the title made this rather obvious.
