Hey all, I had recently tried to install a new, 4 gig ram stick into my Asus notebook, which would bring the total up to 8 gigs. After inserting the the stick, I checked system information and it wasn't showing the new ram. I tried reinstalling the stick to ensure I had done some correctly, but the BIOS still said that there were only 4 gigs. Browsing for answers on google showed me that I might have to try memory remapping to get the computer to acknowledge the new ram, but for some reason I am not seeing that option in the BIOS. Does anyone know how I can get to memory remapping? Or failing that, another way to get the new ram to work? I am running 64 bit Windows 7, and the memory stick was a Kingston Technology 4GB 1600MHz DDR3L PC3-12800 1.35V Non-ECC CL11 SODIMM Intel Laptop Memory KVR16LS11/4

Have you made sure you are on the latest bios version or if there is maybe an unlocked bios out there?

I just checked, I am definitely running the latest BIOS. I have not looked into unlocked version, but I will do that now. Any recommendations about where to find that?
