The p7450 has 3mb cache and 2.1ghz speed, 1066 front side bus

The t9300 has 6mb cache and 2.4ghz speed, 800 front side bus...

Granted the t9300 has more cache, but the p7450 has a higher fsb....

Which one should i go with.. granted I would love a quad core or a t9600 but cant afford one right now.... SO would the t9300 be better then the stock p7450?

Here is the CPU-Z info on my computer

Cheapest way - overclock your P7450. Mine does 2.7ghz just fine.

The t9300 is @ 2.5 ghz I had one ;), if you OC the t9300 you could have it at 3.0+ ghz plus 1066 for bus. ;)

First of all don't waste your money on a Quad core since they don't work on the G60VX from BestBuy.
Best you can upgrade to on this system is a T9900 or X9100.
Yes the T9300 should perform slightly better but the cheapest alternative is to OC the stock CPU as other members have suggested.

I've got a T9300 in mine. I had the CPU in an older Toshiba just sitting around, so snagged the chip and put it in my G51. Mine came with the P7350 @ 2.0, and the T9300 has been a decent upgrade. Not sure if it would be worth paying much for, as if that was the case I'd buy a faster CPU, but if ones available for cheap or free, it did help. Bumped my 3DMark06 scores into the 11K range, especially overclocking the T9300 to ~3gh range.

CPU intensive games also improved a bit.

This is coming from a 2ghz cpu though, where as yours is a bit faster starting out, so dunno, guess it would depend on how cheap the T9300 is.
