Well i'll be playing alot of games over the summer before i leave for basic. Shall i keep my G60vx upgrade it a bit? Or sell my G60 and buy a newer asus?

p8700? Second HD? What else can be done to make this thing run better?
-
Just OC your proc a little and your computer will run most of the new games on Max/High.
The G60vx is a great gaming laptop and should last you for a while with the GTX260m. -
yeah the OC ability is great but i run another monitor out of my laptop.
-
Just upgrade to a new CPU (T9900 for me
) and unleash the fury!
While the stock CPU OC's fine, i get mine up to 3.5Ghz and it flies in this laptop.
Other thing you might want to upgrade is to a SSD if you really want to go all out. Thats my next step, it's not really needed, stock HDD is fine.
I figure with my CPU upgrade and the 260M GTX combo it will be able to game for at least 2 more years without having to run into any problems. -
Haha very nice!! It is a great laptop but it could use a new core!! i wish i could toss a quad in here >.< but the T9900 is best that can be done. And yeah when i OC the 260 its great!! like 30fps Crysis Ultra with no OC cpu! And i wish i could get a new cover for it i just cant mesh with the blue one.

I know it makes me want to smack my face with it! I look like I'm 10 at any meeting.

Do both the P and T CPU's Fit into this?
-
Yes they do!
The lid does look unique.lol
Not a big fan but I got used to it,everytime I take it out I just open the lid as quick as I can.
Screw it it doesn't really bother me knowing what a great laptop it is. -
One of the main reasons why I got the G51vx instead lol
-
If you want to get a proc, just look around on ebay.
I got a new OEM t9600 for $200 shipped. Theres a bunch under 200 too but I chose to pay a little extra for a seller with great ratings.
It arrived today. Cant wait to throw it in after school -
