I'm looking to buy an Asus G70/G71. My only requirements are that it comes with a WUXGA screen, dual HDDs and or DDR3 Ram if possible. Not really keen on the quad core versions
I have noticed that;
1. they are extremely hard to find
2. most resellers have ETAs on their websites that come and go without any stock becoming available
Am not keen on pre-ordering and am beginning to think I might as well buy a HP HDX X-18

I read Justin at Xotic PC has reported they are expected on the 20th of November in their Forums, Excalliber reported the last week of November, but either way I expect them to release it this month.
I have preordered mine so its just a waiting game
You can wait a couple days or a couple weeks I dont think it will make that much of a difference because the G71 looks like a very good bang for the buck, plus Asus has a really good warranty deal on at the moment so for me you cant go wrong -

The shipment on the G71G is scheduled to arrive later this afternoon per ASUS/vendors. Regarding the warranty, ASUS is now giving 3rd year N. America Warranty for FREE with G71G-A2 and G50Vt-A2.

is there a reason why they wont extend the warranty for A1 for both models?

It's a holiday promotion ASUS offers, but just happen not on the A1 model. Thanks!
