    Hi

Sometimes my monitor starts flickering. Once in while, while I surf, the flickering starts when I view a certain webpage, if I close this page the flickering disappear again. It also happens when I'm running games.

Sometimes when the flickering occurs, the only way to make it disappear is to adjust the angle of the monitor - it seems that at a certain angle the flickering stops.

Asus said I should try reinstalling Windows. It did not resolve the issue.

Since the flickering only happens once in a while I'm afraid Asus will not fix the problem if they cannot see the flickering them self.

I have installed the latest Nvidia driver and all windows updates.

Does anyone know what causes this flickering ?

I had seen such a flickering problem with a friend's Fujitsu Siemens notebook. For him it used to disappear when he moved the display back and forth.
In his case it was actaully case of a broken cable inside the hinge.
