    hi everyone,
my g71gx's ac adapter just went dead and i can't find another one to replace it. its output is 19.5v and 7.7amp. anyone has any suggestions about where can i find any replacements? i live in italy and i think i'll never be able to find an original one here so universal adapter suggestions are also welcome

contact best buy, you're still under their 1 year warranty.

Did you try ebay yet? Just search for any gaming laptop power supply, voltage is generally the same(or so close that it will work), and you can buy any that has the amperage equal or above the one that failed. Then cut the original tip and use yours.

If the problem is just the tip just find a compatible one, this would be much easier and cheaper. Also,I've already had a problem with the tip in another laptop and all I had to do was open it and resolder the wires, then I sealed it again with hot glue. It isn't pretty, but it works.

I broke mine recently and just called Asus. They sent a box and I put the broken one in and sent it away. They sent a new one in about 10 days.
