    Hello All,

New to the forums here, just wanted to get something off my chest that has been worrying me, and maybe not a problem at all.

I have a G72GX laptop from Best Buy that i got about 2 months ago. When playing Call of Duty MW2 I can only play with 1600x900 with high settings, not extra settings with no AA and Specular Mapping and Depth of Field off otherwise my FPS drops below 30. Even with 1600x900 and my settings the way they are I am getting under 60FPS most of the time. I have the up to date drivers and a fresh install of Windows 7, anyone else having the same issues? Other games sometimes have the issue, but L4D2 actually runs just fine with everything turned up and 2xAA.

EDIT* And just to let you know i am using the Nvidia drivers from Nvidia.com, the latest ones. Not sure if there is another source for drivers i should be using.

It seems there's no problem just that the G72GX isn't fast enough to have all games played maxed out.

Take it easy, the G72's specs are the same to a mid ranged last gen desktop.

My studio xps 16 dell laptop could easily max out MW2. The G72GX should be more than enough to max out MW2 so I would say there is something wrong. Unfortunately I don't know what you can do other than reinstall the game.
