    We haven't tried G.Skill laptop memory, but it comes highly recommended in the desktop arena. Samsung and Kingston are worth considering too, although everyone has a personal favorite.

    Have you tried running memtest86 ( Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool) on the laptop to verify the memory integrity if it's really bad?
    The memory is a good choice and should work fine most of the time.
