I was unable to find a post on this, but my apologies if this is a duplicate. I find the matte screen on my G750JW to be terrible: are there any options to replace this with an IPS screen or perhaps a touchscreen?

Due to the LVDS connection there are no IPS options, but there are alternative TN panels without such a high grain on them. The AUO 90% gamut 40 pin LVDS ones are good.

When I do a search for screens for this laptop, all I can find are "matte" or "glossy" but no other specifications. Any suggestions on where to get a good glossy screen? My old G73 has a glossy screen, and I've since gifted it to a friend. Whenever I see her laptop (the G73) next to mine, it is... depressing.

The 90% AUO mentioned is this one, fyi: B173HW01 V4. Glossy, spectacular colours and beats most IPS panels, in fact (and the G73's). Even viewing angles are decent, not IPS-territory, but good enough never to be bothered by them.

You do have to ask specifically for the exact panel; chance is ~98% they'll ship a different, compatible screen otherwise.

Yes any mention of compatible screen in the listing (and not specifically stating it is exact) and it wont be that panel.
