I just dug this up while frantically googling for it.

    http://translate.google.com/transla...ce-102m-4874.html&sl=it&tl=en&history_state0=

Some interesting info on the K series notebooks.

    The 4860 is coming in a 15.6" notebook with a 1366x768 screen.

I'm a little disappointed there in the resolution, but that's a heck of a lot of gaming power for the size. The 4860 should be more than enough for newer games at that resolution.

15.6" with 768 vertical pixels s*cks... You need lots of scrolling up and down...

Might suck for websurfing, but for gaming and HD playback perfect!
I really don't mind the screen resolution, but making the form factor to a 12" or 13" would be just perfect for me.
I really need/want a small and powerful ultraportable that's great at gaming.

When Asus reduce the screen size to 12" or 13", you would think they wouldn't use anything better than a 4550.

Hmm, maybe the higher end variants of the K50 will have larger screen resolutions. But yeah, it really does look outdated, but I'm willing to forgive it for that 4860 gddr5 and a larger screen resolution (1440x900+).

Plz excuse my noobness, but isn't GDDR5 kind of a new thing to the notebooks? Sounds pretty cool. I mean 5 is better than 3, right? ;)

    Any dates yet?

GDDR5 has been around for a little while on the desktop HD 4870, but only recently have they been able to reduce the power consumption (the desktop card is pretty inefficient) to be able to put their 48xx series (w/ the GDDR5) in laptops.
