What do people think of this laptop?

    $995
Info here --> Computer Alliance Pty Ltd

Should I get it? Should I get the extended 3 year warranty (extra 2 years for $149) or is that a waste of money?

There is a newer one (K42JV), same spec's but with a Nvidia GT 335M, instead of the 310M. I have that one and think it's a great traveling notebook. It handles games quite well at the 1366 x 768 Res. Have had no issues and owened it for a couple of months now. Does kick out some serious heat while gaming. I buy extended warranties on cars, but usually nothing else and have had pretty good luck with that, so I'd say skip the extended warranty unless you are hard on stuff.

My current DELL had a lot of problems which meant I did use the warranty (3 year) all the way up until when it finished. Motherboard died, hinges broke, keyboard wasn't even connected in when I got it, HDD died...

Sounds like the $149 might be well worth it.
