I'm thinking of replacing my procesor in my Asus k50ab laptop(specs in the link bellow) with a quad-core processor, my question is which processor should i choose and which processors actually fit in the socket?

    ASUS - Notebooks- ASUS K50AB

    Thanks.

The processor which is in here S1G2 will not work with a quad core S1G4.
Here is a link below to help you out.
    Socket S1 (S1g4)

Yes the Phenom II Quad-Core Mobile will fit in the socket. Has the same socket S1 and 638 pins.
