I tried to undervolt this pc to extend battery life but RMclock doesn't recognize the cpu (P6100). I assume a few people have this laptop, has anyone else tried to overclock underclock or undervolt?
I also noticed there is no owners lounge for the laptop in question. Maybe it doesn't need one, but it could be nice to have if enough information can be gathered on this model.

I think it's also the x52 model, fwiw.

It was worth some more google results I hadn't seen yet, so thanks.
It appears that newer amd and intel processors have no software to support undervolting. Source: A Guide to Undervolting your Processor
There is a program that might be usable for this purpose but it doesn't support x64: Notebook Hardware Control (NHC) - Homepage, Downloads, Help, Docu, FAQ, News - www.NotebookHardwareControl.net
Looks like another newer member tried raising awareness about this before: http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...volting-utilities-free-purchase-software.html
I guess its a lost cause until some developer thinks there might be a profit in it. These new chips are so refined maybe there's not much undervolting to be done anyway.
