    Hello to all.

I've been having this problem that if the back of my laptop screen gets touched with a little more than a gentle push, it goes haywire with green all over the screen.

So far only had 3-5 of these happenings over 1.5~ year. I travel by train every week and bring it in the case Asus provided, and do it as gently as possible because of this and this time it turned on okay but when I switched off Skype it went kaboom. I know skype has nothing to do with it.. Just I wonder if it's a serious problem, because I cannot give it to warranty until summer because of my studies and other various reasons ;/

In the past my forced sleep attempts have fixed it in about 4-6 tries, this time I need it to work asap because I cannot finish my work like this...

The LVDS cable for the LCD is either loose or defective.

Just got it back from the warranty. Seems you were right the LVDS was defective and in addition they changed the corpus of the screen too.

Thanks to your answer I got it fixed faster than usual, therefore I give you my sincere thanks :)
