I'm here to ask for help, i have a laptop Asus X52Jc (asus k52jc is the same laptop) with double video card Nvidia Geforce 310M and Intel HD Graphics (tecnology Nvidia Optimus)

There are 2 options in the bios for video card

    1) Run the laptop only whit video card Intel HD Graphics
    2) Run the laptop with nvidia optimus (the switch between the two video cards is automatic)

I would like to start my laptop with ONLY Nvidia Geforce video card, you believe that you can add this option in the bios?

I have tested the new version of bios, but it has no option to choose the video card, it gets worse instead of better....

p.s. I'm also willing to pay someone to do this

    Thanks ;)

There is no way to do this. The NVIDIA card needs to use the IGP to output to the screen, there are no separate multiplexers for the NVIDIA card to go completely dedicated. You can probably do what you are asking with a profile in the nvidia control panel instead.

I don't run windows either, but I wouldn't be caught dead with an Optimus system since NVIDIA has officially stated that they have no plans to even attempt a workaround solution for Linux, despite the architectural problems a solution would face. Sorry about the bad news. Long story short is Optimus is windows-only... if you run any other OS you're stuck with the options your BIOS provides.

Well, if it's any consolation, it looks like there is no way to use the nVidia GPU exclusively in Windows either.

No there isn't. The Nvidia card is not wired directly to the display, so even if there would be a way to get it to function as primary you would get no output. Optimus forces the Nvidia portion to essentially work through the display connected to the integrated Intel GPU. This works only because Nvidia is utilizing features built into Windows 7 for multiple display adapters. There is no framework for anything like this in linux currently AFAIK.
