    Hi,

    I'm helping someone with their new Asus K53. Unfortunately, she is on the other side of the country, so I can't just look at the computer.

    For any owners out there, what pre-installed software comes with the machine, and what's not worth keeping?

    You may ask her to look under Programs and Features and sort by Publisher. She probably will see a bunch of utilities by ASUS which is fine. Mini games, and 3rd party sponsored trial programs are generally not helpful. If she's not exactly sure what to remove, perhaps it's only ideal to remove the obvious ones.

    Yeah this is what I had started doing. But basically I just had her reading the list and to me which got old fast. Also I'm not sure which Asus programs aren't useful. I guess I can just leave them all installed.
