Ive got a K53SD-DS71 i7-2670QM. This is the second one in 2 months. The first had a optical drive noise and bad motherboard and this one that is only 24 hours old at the time of this post that is making a noise coming from the optical drive. It sounds like its trying to search and start a disk although the drive is empty. This happens everytime the computer starts up. Only makes the noise for a few seconds then stops. Also makes this noise while running a disk. Is there something wrong with this optical drive too. Its been my past experiance that cd-drives are generally quite with minimal noise if any coming from the drive. Tried to exchange it for a second time at bestbuy and they no longer carry it and can not ship it off to get it fixed. so its either return it or send it off to Asus. Can anyone give me some insite on why this is happing?
