    Hello,
I have a friend who owns a Asus K550C, the laptop wont boot to windows it goes directly to bios every time we try to turn it on. He said that the laptop fell to the floor but after that it booted normally, the problem only started the day after it felt (can't say if this was the cause or not).
I can't figure out what's the problem, I tried to:
    - reset the bios and updated to the last one
    - I took everything out that could be taken (HDD, battery, etc)
    - I took the bios battery out (didn't use other, I will try to replace and test)

I did so many things I'm probably missing something.

Is this common problem, anyone ever got it? Any suggestions

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my English.
    Regards

Did you also remove and reseat the RAM. You can also take the HDD out and put it in anohter computer to see if it works. Normally it would give you a no boot drive message but it wont hurt to try to rule it out.
It could also be motherboard damage which you may be able to source one on Ebay or similar site.

Has he had the computer or less then a year, and happen to register the Accidental Damage Protection warranty? Drops are covered (but your location may not be).

Is the hard drive showing up in BIOS? And can you hear/feel it running?
