    Hi There,
My wireless connection has been great up until about 3 weeks ago when our modem failed. We lost the wireless connection to our notebook, desk top, cell phones and land lines. Cable company replaced the modem and we had service temporarily to desk top and notebook. Land lines and cells still worked.
They reset the modem and the wireless connection has been intermittent since then for notebook. It was for the desk top too but that died and a whole nother story. :-/
Anyway is there something with my notebook that would be dropping the wireless connection. Cable company says its not the modem. I am currently hooked up to the modem with an Ethernet cable, which is not practical for me. I read on the forum that it possibly could be the wireless card? If so, can I replace it myself? And if so, how?
    Thanks a ton!!
    Nicci

    Hey Nicci,

You usually can replace the wireless card in a laptop as long as it's a standard mPCIe NIC. I'm not familiar with this model so I can't tell you for certain whether that's what it has or not. Do the other devices in your home that connect via WiFi have likewise problems?
