I've got an Asus NV550JV, and just upgraded it to 16GB with the G.Skill F3-1866C10D-16GRSL. These are basically 2 sticks of 8GB DDR3L 1866 memory running at CL10-10-10-32. CPUID reports that the system is running at this timing but at 1600 MHz. I can't quite figure out how to get into the UEFI to modify the speed/timings, or if it's even possible. F2 at boot brings up some barebones BIOS which doesn't allow me to do much, and an advanced reboot from Windows only led me to the same screen.

So basically, is it possible to get into the UEFI of this Asus laptop and tinker with the RAM settings, or am I forever stuck to 1600 MHz?

    Thanks!

The BIOS hides those settings therefore they cannot be altered, currently only Kingston has made auto-overclocking RAM to allow the module to clock at 1866MHz automatically.

Sigh. This is the first time I've heard of Kingston's auto-overclocking RAM - I'm assuming this is the HyperX, or is there something else? Will look into it, and maybe sell off my G.Skill for whatever it is Kingston's got. Thanks!

It's called HyperX Impact, and please note to only use 1866MHz because the speed 2133MHz is not reachable most of the time.

Thanks for that. Already put up my G.Skill for sale, hopefully someone will pick it up. The Kingston is fairly cheaper too, so hopefully I won't lose much overall. Appreciate the help!
