    Asus M50 Mic Problem

    I can't seem to get it to work at all. It's not muted.

    And when I try to turn on the boost and put up the mic volume, the laptop emits a screeching noise and crashes the computer.

    This is weird now.

    I used Steam to test my mic and it works ONLY if mic boost is on. Except, when mic boost is on, as said above, it causes a high pitch screeching noise.

    i'm having almost the same problem with the mic . anyone hav solution to slove it ?

    try going into the realtek audio manager and setting the microphone volume there, I know in mine it was turned off by default.

    i set already ... still can't ..the volume of recording is too low ..

    Same problem. Weak mic input and screeching sound when boost is set to max.
