Just bought this notebook from Newegg a month ago and it's had pretty limited use. The battery has worked in the past, but after not using the notebook for a couple weeks I turned it on to find the battery completely drained and it will now not hold a charge. As soon as I unplug the AC the notebook shuts off.

I've read about battery calibration, but it doesn't show up in my bios.

How quick is the battery replacement turnaround with Asus? Do I need to send in the whole notebook? I bought this for a move to the UK and am leaving the country in under two weeks now! :(

Silly question, but have you tried taking the battery out and putting it back in?

Also make sure it's locked in, I'm not sure if that'd prevent it from charging but on my G50V there are tabs to keep it locked.

I don't know about the warranty service, I'll leave that for somebody else to answer...

Yep, have taken it out and placed it back in with no change. Windows seems to recognize there is a battery, but it doesn't charge.

Yea it's probably gone bad, I'd put a support request in with ASUS. The longer you wait the closer it gets to your deadline... hope you warranty is registered! Good luck.
