Well, so far I've been very impressed by my M50VM, but I just recently noticed that the left hinge casing (the one nearest the power port) is fairly loose, and pops off easily. It's not a big deal as it's just a single piece of plastic, but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if they were able to fix it.

I haven't seen this mentioned, in fact I don't remember build problems being mentioned at all about the M50.

You could call ASUS and ask them to send you a new set of hinge covers. They are very cheap, very likely the postage will cost more than the parts themselves. If the problem is because the hinge cover is misshaped or the locking tab on it does not have the proper height, then the new hinge cover will sit better.

Just saying I haven't had this issue.
