    Hello to all,

    My first post and I'd like to know how do I change the default 8mb Shared Memory for my M5200NP . i cant find it in the bios . its kind of hard to do photo editing and some light gaming.

    You can't. That's setup to only use a portion of your overall system RAM. It'll use 64mb if you have 768mb in the system. With the stock 256mb though, it should be using almost a 1/3 of that though. Where are you seeing this?

    i have the same laptop and a similar problem.
    i have 512mb RAM, but the video is only using 7mbs of this.
    i can see this in the 'INTEL(R) EXTREME GRAPHICS 2 FOR MOBILE REPORT'

    also, i can't play dvd's on here (yea, i have a dvd drive btw) it comes up the:
    C00D116A: Cannot play DVD video
    error in media player.
    i have the nvidia dvd decoder as well.
    any ideas?

    ll does the same thing, well not exactly the same thing, as sometimes i can now see the dvd menu, but as soon as i select on an option the error message comes up....

    any other ideas?

    try a different dvd player program (eg powerdvd, vlc), this way you can see if its software or hardware related. As for your gpu memory, your specs show the answer, it will take upto 64Mb...but only when it needs it. Thus if you could look at that while running a game then you would probably see the memory usage go upto 64.
