I bought my Asus M68NE (I think that's the model) about 3 1/2 years ago. I've put a lot of miles on it, so I understand that it's served it's purpose for me.

Currently the laptop runs very well as far as the computer goes. But I do have one issue where the back has cracked. It has cracked on the back side of the LCD, where the hinges meet the bottom part of the computer. It seems that the hinges has dried up, and don't move well at all. This has cause the part where the hinges are attached to the lcd to have cracked the back casing and broken off. As of now, the LCD works and looks great, but it isn't held onto the laptop by anything but the cable from the computer to the lcd..it just kinda flops around.

My question is, are there replacement parts I can get for this? If so, where would I start? I have looked at various laptop part vendors, but I don't see anything for my model.

Maybe it isn't worth trying to save, but like I said, it still runs very well.

Thanks for any suggestions or help that can be offered.
