I'm looking to buy an Asus M6Ne here in Toronto but it is out of stock everywhere I've looked. Only the widescreen M6BNe is in stock. Does anyone know if there are any availability issues with the M6Ne? Is Asus having a hard time meeting demand? I need a laptop before I start law school in September. If there is no hope of getting this one in time I guess I'll go with the BNe instead.

I bought mine from www.canadasys.com the prices are unbeatable but their service is questionable. If you know what you're buying thats a great place to pick stuff up.

Thanks for the info everyone. Of those, only jmcomputers.ca has the M6Ne listed on its website. I know that the main supplier of M6Ne in Toronto is out of stock and will be a few weeks getting more. I can only get one by September if a shop has the unit in its own stock already. I will contact each of the stores suggested though.

I initially placed an order with etccomputer.ca. They only have M6BNe. 2+ weeks for M6Ne stock from them.

The Asus distributors in Toronto and Vancouver are both out of stock of the M6Ne. They are getting new stock at the end of August. I don't know what the situation is like in the US.

I was guaranteed that I'd have my M6Ne by August 20th, as early as August 15th. So, we'll see what happens... They are definitely backordered though, and I haven't found anywhere in BC or Alberta that has them in stock.

Well, I was experiencing a problem with the LAN on my M6N. I sent it back to the store I purchased it from. Then, they said that they sent it to their Asus distributor for repairs. The store said that they do not know if it is a hardware or a software problem. I am afraid that when the Asus distributor does testing on my notebook, specifically the LAN, they are going to find it running perfectly, even though it has been locking up constantly on me. I hate these things sometimes. Like, your system is clearly unstable when you're running it at home, but when you show it to the store, it runs perfectly.

There are no service centers in Toronto, that I know of. The only place that MAY service these notebooks, is the only company who imports and distributes Asus products in Canada and that's Supercom. You may want to check with them to see if the have stock, which stores they sell to that they could recommend or see if they have any service centers in Toronto.

I've purchased my M6BNe from Cybraian.ca. I think anitec.ca also sells barebone M6Ns of some variation.

Only the M6Ne (the one I want) is out of stock. M6BNe and non "e" models are currently in stock in many places.
