Just wanted to say thanks for all the information everyone posted on the forums. I decided to go with a Asus over a Dell, and I hope I made the right decision (all my Dell friends are giving me hell).

I purchased a Asus M6Ne from agearnotebooks.com. So far, the email support and service has been excellent (shipped after 2 days). Here's the specifics on my system (my first laptop) that will be used for .Net development:

    15.1 SXGA+
    1.5 Pentium M 715 (2MB L2 Cache)
    ATI Mobility 9700
    1 GB DDR SODIMM
    60GB 7,200 RPM HDD
    8x DVD/24x10x24 CD-RW
    802.11b/g LAN
    etc.
