Hello, is it notmal that the CPU fan of this machine never stops? I've tried the option in the bios "CPU power saving mode", but it's the same thing! I've tried it running ot batteries, but the fan always works!!! Does anyone know how to fix this? It has drained my battery in less than 2 hours working like this (And I know that the centrino systems offer 4 to 5 hours of battey power). So, please, anyone tell me what to do, thanks in advance!

When I use asus probe, it says that the cpu fan speed is 3300 rpm and never turns down!!! How much does your lappy run on batteries? Yes, i've qorked with 3 machines so far, and all of their fans turned off when the CPU wasn't very used!!!

doesn't the fan run because it needs to cool the cpu? maybe the cpu's just hot or something. when i use my S5N in a cold place (aircon) and if it's unplugged, the fan stays off. if it's warm, it turns on. if it's plugged, it stays on. if i'm watching dvds, or playing games or other intensive tasks, it turns on.
