    Asus M7 in October?

    I heard rumours on notebookforums.com that the Asus M7 (with ATI X600 PCI card) will be released in October of this year.

    Has anyone heard anything about this?

    Since I'm still hesitating on whether to buy a laptop now or wait for the new PCI boards to play HL2 and DOOM 3. If October is the scheduled release date then that would tie in well with the new FPS games.

    I'm tempted to get the M6BNe now but the 64MB VGRAM is just not gonna be able to deal with that level of gaming.

    In some respects I guess I already know the answer is to wait but its that childish feeling of money burning holes in your pockets thats driving me crazy!!!

    This is the first that I've heard of this. I'm guessing that it is mainly speculation with a hint of truth. That is im sure that ASUS are working on a X600 solution, and I'm sure that ASUS are also working on a upgrade for the popular M6 series. Will either of these be out in october? possible, will they be together? possible but I would be thinking that the L5 series would get the X600 first??? Also given that the W1N was released months ago but didn't make an apperiance in stores till a few weeks ago, my guess is that you will be very lucky to purchase a notebook with a X600 in it this year...but thats just me and I'm uninformed.
