    Asus Media Button: Media Player instead of Media Center?

    Is there a way to make the media button in Windows Vista Ultimate start the Media Player instead of the Media Center?

    I have a VX2s but I guess Asus is using the same software/drivers/keys in some of its laptops....

    Anyone got an idea or solution for this problem?

    Make sure that the program you want (Windows Media Player) is set as the default media program. Just open the "Default Programs" from the Start Menu, and go from there.

    I made sure that WMP is the standard program for all of my media files. The media button will start WMC anyway (at least here on the VX2s).
    I wonder if there is a registry entry or so that can be modified...
