Hello guys, do you know when Asus N43/63/73 notebooks will be released to the market? I found out that they are kinda cool with the aluminium brushed lid and palm rest, integrated Bang & Olufsen sound system, NVidea GT 335M with optimus technology and so forth. This series of laptop does attract my attention but have no idea when they will be available to the public. Hope someone can share something about this and thanks in advance!

No one cares about these models except you, me, and 1-2 other forum members. Unfortunately, the other web also have no further information besides the ones displayed on CeBit 2010.

They were introduced in ASUS world magazine March-April edition. People should expect them within those 2 months release, but we have very few information about it. I really hope the resellers representative (or ASUS') can shine us some light regarding this information.

Yes ... I'm too waiting for N63 as it has Full HD option on a >15" screen. Many are crazy for the upcoming N82 model atleast seems from the relevant thread. I wish N61 too also would have full HD option :p Lets hope this baby (N63) will born this year ;)

I was pretty interested in it too. The design seemed pretty awesome with the perfect specs (Core i5 or i7 with decent GPU) but alas, Asus is horrible with their releases and so I went for the 8440w...

I'm sure once it comes out though it should be a great machine. I looked extensively for information on it a while back but with no results. It just seems not too many people are interested in this machine for some reason. Really under the radar...

Agree with you. I really hope that it will be available for this coming summer so that the GPU is not outdated then. Just cross our fingers and pray for the best! :D

Summer is considered June 20-September 20 in North America.

I would think these models would be out by July though.

Asus won't want to miss out on the extra sales before the school season starts in September.

the 335M is already an outdated GPU. It's based on the 240M which was released last year. The only differences are higher clock speeds. Nvidia's new GPUs (based on their Fermi architecture) will probably be labeled 400 series and aren't expected until the end of the year.

The webcam is built to have an open close mechanism in order to avoid legal remote controlled web cam.

As for the LCD, I hope that they are frameless too. :D

It's already last week of April. No news. Nothing.
Just give it up for early summer release. Or maybe late summer.

Probably I'll have to now consider Dell Studio 1558 (i5-520M, 15.6" 1080p FHD screen, 4Gb DDR3 RAM, 520GB 7200 rpm HDD, 1GB ATI 5470 GPU, Intel-6200 wireless, BlueTooth, chicklet+backlit keyboard, 2 years warranty, Win7 OS, DVD writer, color options :: All approx $1050 USD).

Nevertheless it will not have switchable graphics and USB 3.0.

I'm looking for a laptop with 15.4"-16" screen size and 14" will be smaller for my needs. But I'm waiting for N63, but god knows when it ll be available.

OIC. Then, why not you consider of buying Asus N61JQ. Its specs. and price performance ratio are above good too.

Again, N61JQ has 2 major things which do not match with my basic configurations ....

    1. No option for Full HD (rejected)
    2. Only quad core i7 (rejected): quad core i7 produces more heat

Yes, N61JA has dual core i5, but it is again lacking of a Full HD screen in a 16" laptop and Asus discontinued the model in USA :(

So, N63 is the best matching laptop for me from Asus. But have to wait and watch for its first 1 week review when it will available.

In that case, Dell Studio 1558 is the best option for you as most of the Asus laptops do not come with full HD besides of the G series and upcoming N63. :D

Any new info on the N63, will this thing get released by June?
I'm wondering if I should wait for the N63JN or go with the ASUS N61JV. What do you guys think?

Actually, the GeForce 335m isn't based on the 240m. The 330m is based on the 240, but not the 335m, it is its own card. This is evidenced by the 72 cores in the 335m, while there are only 48 in the 330m. I'll even go as far as to say that the 335m is equal to the ATI 5650.

In the Philippines when I asked Asus sales office here about the N43, they mentioned it should be available 2nd or 3rd week of August. We only get 1 model, the N43 with GT425M (N53/63/73 will not be released).

The GT425M by all accounts, from some benchmarks pics we saw in some Chinese/Taiwanese Lenovo forums, seems to be a silght upgrade to the GT335M with ~92(?) shaders.

I am probably reviving a dead topic but instead of making a new one I will ask it here. I am interested in the N63 and you guys have been talking about it since April but this laptop is still not available. Anyone have any idea when this laptop will be available in Europe or anywhere else ?

The N63 was renamed the N53 some time ago
If you search N53, the UK had some prices listed but not sure if they started selling tho
