Hi guys,
Recently Asus announced the new Asus N43JF notebook PC featuring a high-end nVidia 4-series card.
I thought I would start up a thread and update the OP as we go once we have more detailed information.
Looks like Asus is getting into the mobile "mobile" gaming sector - much like the AW M11X.
Look forward to contributions on this model![]()

Yeah coming in 2012
-
Haha, well, the amount Asus produces especially with their highly anticipated laptops, you might be right
-
Well the 400 series desktop cards just came out but I don't think we will see mobile version for a while.
I hope I'm wrong but I would love to see Nvidia's version of DX11 on a mobile card.
The 5870 HD currently reigns supreme so they better start moving. -
Well, since it's announced already I am hoping it is released within the next two months. Otherwise, I would buy the Asus N61 with not the best video card but at least half decent
Darn this waiting game... I would like to quit and play another game! -
Looks like they are being released in Singapore, I was going to get a friend who currently works there take a look for me, but I will have to put off for a few months because i need the money for something else, but looks like they just have the JF model out now, so i'm keen to wait for other models with i7 cpus and the Nvidia 435 GPU to be released.

Hello,
I purchased the N43Jf notebook 3 months ago and have already upgraded the memory to 8 GB.
If you run the Performance Information and Tools test (Start/Control Panel/System/Performance Information and Tools test) right out of the box you'll get a Base Score of about 4.3. Increasing the memory and overclocking the CPU will only increase the score to about 4.5 MAX. By loading the latest Video Adapter drivers I was able to get it to 5.2 but this is still too slow to run many games. What is holding this system back is the GeForce GT425M video card. Unfortunately it only comes equipped with 64 MB of RAM...and that is just insufficient.
I'm not looking to see what this motherboard will accept and upgrading the video card. -
^^So what are you asking then??
And it seems the GT425 comes with no less then 1gb of DDR3 VRAM, so where are you getting 64MB from? -
Why is it that this laptop can accept 8GB max? Is it the Mobo that only takes 8GB max? I believe the windows 7 can go up to 16GB. If 8GB is the max it can take, is it possible for me to go for 1 8GB RAM instead of 2 x 4GB ?

Windows 7 HP has a 16 GB ceiling. Higher editions of Windows 7 support up to 32 GB. The memory cap on the system is usually restricted by firmware.
