    Asus N46JV Broken Connector(PCB) Subwoofer

    so my subwoofer is fal down to floor when i slep then the connector is broke, does it efect the peformance of my laptop? cause the subwoofer it's not working. :(

    Well yes it means your subwoofer won't work.

    Is the connector actually broken? Have you opened it up for a look? It may have just been shocked loose.

    Shocks can cause the thermal paste to shift. Keep an eye on temperatures, if they are higher than before you will want to re paste, if not then no need to worry.

    yes i already take a look the conector and the pcb is seperate, i try soldering it stil wont work, if i want to fix it should i buy the same version pcb or difrent?it's fine as long its work right?

    The only thing I would watch for is if the laptop still thinks a subwoofer is connected. It is not likely but if the sound chip uses filters to split low and high frequencies before sending them to their respective speaker then you could end up with even tinnier sounding audio because you have even less low frequencies coming from the front speakers.
