Asus does not have N46VZ right now. They have Asus N56VZ. A very nice student laptop with backlit keyboard.

haha.. yeah, was really weird. It seemed to me as if Asus had been told from ..many.. retailers that they wouldn't be very popular, though. That that was why they didn't roll this out together with the n56vz.

A local retailer here in Norway said that they were more interested in having the 14 inch versions as the low-cost option, with a 630m card, less ram as standard, that sort of thing. But there's not much to save there that wouldn't be easier to save on the second 15 inch version - so I got the impression they thought it was too expensive to be sold in that form-factor.

Since we were sort of discussing this anyway, I then said that.. blabla, but this is able to cool the components (unlike 100% of the other laptops on the market), it can be a 14 inch with the performance of the 15 inch, with less power-consumption, and a slimmer form-factor, would serve my needs, perfect for gaming and office on secondary monitors and tv, but also be portable enough to not need it's own barge to tow it in, etc. So I would want that 14 inch for a gaming laptop that also would work as my work-computer. And they wrote me back a bit later and said Asus were "considering" rolling out the n46vz version with 650m/1920x1080, etc, in Norway only as an experiment in September-October.

Sounds weird. So.. yeah.. I don't know.. "Playing merchant", as they say. While people try to convince the merchant to let people pay them money. Weird setup. But not completely illogical, I guess, if retailers are set up well with the existing products being differentiated very easily by form-factor, etc. Might be difficult to justify a 14 inch costing almost the same as a 15 inch, that sort of thing.

Hello looks like we don't carry that model in the U.S. however we do have the U47A if you are looking for a laptop with a discrete VRAM
Looks like this is being sold in Singapore at this time.
