    Hi all im new to the forum so hi everyone.
    Ok i just got the Asus N50VN-A1B and would like to get some tips as to set it up for gaming im trying to play sheellshock2 and it realy lags when i play .
    I did a full restore of vista i put 64 in i installed no boltware all i put in was the fingerprint reader and the needed drivers i did the black viper patch for vista 64 and some other tweaks.
    Oh can this notebook handle vista 64 and one more thing i have a samsung t260 monitor do you guys thing i could hook it up to it or will it suck to much power from the 9600 gt .
    So i do hope there someone on here that dose game with it and can give me some pointers
    and what game if any are you guys playing on it,
    will thank you all

    I would not use external monitor for gaming, it will stress the 9650GT GPU more as a result, Does the game work @ the LCD's native res? Vista x64 should be fine, and the Notebook will work with it no problems. I have not played the particular game, So perhaps check the Gaming forum as well as to the best settings for it.

    Hi nightwing, and welcome to the forums!

    I'd recommend updating your graphics drivers to a newer version from laptopvideo2go. The Asus VGA drivers are often the most stable, but don't necessary provide the best performance for gaming. Also make sure you have your power adapter plugged in since your GPU will automatically downclock when running on battery.
