    Hello All,

    Does anyone know if the refresh of the N53 Series (SV) will be available in the USA with the FHD display (1920x1080)?

    Previously, I was looking for the i7 model with the FHD, but it was only available outside the USA. I can only find the configurations in the USA that are either the i5 with the FHD... or the i7 with the lower res screen... Will this be the case with the N53SV (Sandy Bridge)?

    What are the chances of buying a N53SV with the Sandy Bridge processor and the lower resolution screen... but then replacing the display with the FHD one (preferable matte also)?

    Currently, this is the only info that I have found:

    Asus N53SV-A1

    * i7-2630QM
    * 15.6" HD (1366x768) LED Display
    * nVidia GeForce GT 540M 1GB GDDR3
    * 4GB DDR3 (Max 16GB)
    * 750G 7200rpm
    * DVDRW

    ASUS N53SV-A1 - $1,209.00 - Available for pre-order from ExCaliberPC (Not Customizable)
    Asus N53SV-A1 - ExCaliberPC

    ASUS N53SV-A1 - $1,209.00 - Available for pre-order from GenTech (Customizable)
    Asus N53SV-A1 - GenTech

    Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Email Gentech or Xotic, they might be able to assemble one for you.

    I am interested in the same features as you and I'm still on the lookout for one of those in the US. I know the model number is N53SV-SZ152V.

    By the way, do you know if you output full HD to a 1080p screen?

    Also, on an unrelated note, what's the deal with those 720p laptops with Blu-Rays?
