    Hi Guys,

Do you know, whether Asus N53S supports HDMI CEC standard?
To explain it shortly, it allows e.g. to control a music player on your PC using a remote controller from your TV, or AV receiver - this is a fantastic feature!

I was trying to google it, but I cannot find any information about whether the notebook (or the nNvidia Geforce GT540M graphic card) supports it.

Does anyone know, if the N53S notebook supports the CEC standard, or has anyone been able to control his notebook using a remote controller from TV?

    Thanks,
    Zibi

My understanding is that CEC is standard in all versions of HDMI since its inception and implementation, but the implementation in a product is something you'll have to find out by contacting the product manufacturer if it is not advertised. :)
