Asus 550 has a monitor issue when after 10 months, the screen starts flickering and going black at some angles. I think this is annoying part of Asus' planned obsolescence strategy.

So I did the open it up and replug the monitor plug thing. That solved the issue for about 5 months.

Now for whatever reason, replugging doesn't entirely solve the issue. The screen flickers if the monitor moves slightly and goes into blackness afterwards. Replugging ameliorates the issue, but less and less every time.

Is there a way I can change the part or jostle the parts to resolve the screen issue?

Either the cable is going to **** or the connector is damaged. One of the two. Considering how delicate ribbon cables are, I'd start there.

Common issue of the display cable, go to wareshpere, get a new display cable, swap it and be happy.
