    Hello there,

I just wanted to ask around if anybody else has the same impression. It's really hard to describe, but the sound seems to be lacking midths and has an overall "metallic" character; compared to my old N550JV it sounds terrible. I already played around with the Equalizer and it got a bit better, but it still wasn't quite right. What about you guys?

Did you try this option to see if it changes anything? To enable Loudness Equalization.

Sorry that I reply this late, but i was busy on the weekend. I tried your suggestion, but the only thing it did was to lower the volume of certain frequencies (I think it was the heights and midths), but the overall "metallic" character stayed. When listening to people on twitch for example, the N551 makes them sound almost like robots, whereas on the N550 they sound very natural.

The audio quality should be comparable. Have you tried removing your current audio driver, then reinstalling the factory driver from Asus? (Or you can try the Windows native driver, if there's one available.)
