Hello, my asus laptop seems to be running at full fan speed all the time ( even on desktop ) although it is not using much hardware

the fan sounds like there is cd in drive or something, really annoying
So my question is, how can i fix it?

Edit: Also, reinstall .net (uninstall old versions, run one new upgrade and complete the background compilation), uninstall a certain kb update that breaks the nvidia driver again, then make sure the indexing isn't actually indexing the windows system directory, so it essentially never completes, then make sure the swap-file has a fixed size, so it doesn't keep prefetching things you never load, and ensure that you don't have 90 services running that you don't actually need, unless you want to leave your computer available for "remote support" hooks, and essentially all clients on a similar windows network within a subnet under the nearest province.
Or.. install a linux distro with a reasonably new kernel. *cough*
