Hi all, i'm really curious if anyone else has had this problem or even better, some form of solution.

When my laptop is not plugged in to the power source, the screen often changes dynamic range and becomes more contrasty and slightly more saturated. The highlights completely bloom out. I have had this issue ever since I bought it, and I wish i swapped it with its warranty while I had the chance..

This may not seem like a big deal, but I do a lot of video, photo editing so the image is very important to me. I always have to have it plugged in, and it'd be nice to not do that all the time. It's even annoying when just watching youtube videos for example.

Anyone come across this problem before, and know perhaps why? Either way, I love this laptop...although it's starting to get a little slower over time; I have used it to death over the past couple of years..

Many thanks for any responses I may receive!!

What is your adaptive screen brightness set to, you may want to disable it. Do it for both while on battery and while plugged in settings.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have both adaptive brightness settings set to OFF.
