The "SmartTouch" from Asus is rather abysmal...
Is there any other drivers available to allows us to reconfigure what single/double/triple taps and motions do?
I would like to keep double tap as right click and scroll, but change the three finger options to other things. For example a three finger tap as a middle click.
And an option to change how scrolling works would also be nice to have. Or even be able to set the sensitivity of the touchpad.

In short, are there any drivers with more options exposed?

You should be able to set the sensitivity within the program; I've heard of other people glossing over that feature, but I don't remember where it's located.

There are no new drivers that I'm aware of that unlock any additional features/content; you would need to use a third party program or wait for Asus to release a newer version of their software.

    Just go here:
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download Touchpad

And download the 10.5.10 elantech driver. It's the last one Asus shipped without the "yeah, it's surely a good idea to use absolute numbers for sensitivity between our different laptops when the touchpads on the different versions have different sizes" program.

Maybe write Asus afterwards as well, and explain how much you love the Clevergesture program?

Thanks, the 10.5.10 drivers did the trick. No fancy GUI, but more options, which suits me just fine. Only problem is that the two-finger tap is greyed out. Any ideas of why? (I used the Win8 driver on a Win8 system.)
Ohh, and I will contact Asus about their "form over function" driver wrapper.

EDIT: I got the double finger tap to work by downloading version 11.13.02 from www.station-drivers.com/page/elantech
It had even more options the the 10.50.10 from Asus, for example it allows configuring what both two- and three-finger taps should do.

Where do you find the option?
