    Hello,

I was hesitating about whether to post this question here, or in the 'hardware' forum, but I figured I'd try here first. A couple of days ago, my notebook (Asus N61J) started making rather concerning noises. I *think* the noise is the fan; at least, the sound is emanating from the general location where the fan is, and if I tap that part hard enough, the sound stops. As I don't think constantly hitting my laptop is the wisest solution, I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Do you think it is the fan? If so, what should I do about it? I cleaned it fairly recently... are fans easy to replace in 2-year-old laptops like mine? Thanks so much!

    Cheers,
