Looking for the "fix" ... we have a Sony DCR-TRV330 video camera.
We had a desktop with the Windows 2000 Pro (svc Pak 3) in which transfer of video from the camera to the PC worked perfectly (via the firewire port).

We now have a Asus N61JQ-B1 with the express card slot.
We purchased the firewire express card and now we're dead in the water.

We have read, and read, and read numerous forums on the subject but have yet to find a 'fail safe' solution to this issue.

Anyone else out there that has found the answer to this (very, very, frustrating) dilemma?

    Help! Please!

Er, what's the problem? Which firewire card did you purchase and what chipset does it use? There's not much info in your post to go on to help you. :(
