I am new to Windows 7 and could use some help. I want to do a clean windows install and have heard nothing but positives about how this can help a new PC. How should I do this? I am a novice, but am willing to put some effort in to make my PC run smoother. I came about this link, but would I have to call Microsoft to complete my install?
I have also consider PC Decrapifier to eliminate the bloatware, but most sites say this is not nearly as effective as the clean install. Any experience using this program.

I also got a gift certificate for Newegg and was considering purchasing an external 500GB usb 3.0 hard drive. However, I am thinking of upgrading the HDD from a 320 GB to a 500 GB Seagate Momentus Hybrid w/ 4GB of flash memory.
My question is if I get the boot disk corrected, which seems to be working, can I restore with a new hard drive or would the new HDD require a clean install from my created Windows 7 drive? -
Has anybody had an experience with a new HD with a fresh windows install?
