Does anyone know when or if the Asus N61JQ-A1 is coming to Australian retail stores? There are a couple of websites that are selling them in Aus at the moment, but I want to go see it first off.

    Thanks

Yes. I recently saw a couple in JB Hi Fi, when I was in Sydney for a week. They also had one down in the JB Hi Fi where I was, but it's not on display anymore here.

Yeah i went on there website but they had a different model there so I might look to buy one of Ebay, but I still would have rather go and see it before i buy it.
Anyone else got any info on the release?

They are selling the 640gb 5400rpm model, the JQ-A1 has the 500GB 7200rpm hardrive, but buying this would be better wouldn't it, if i were to upgrade to an ssd anyway?

I'd say so. If you are going to upgrade the drive to something else once you get it, it's kind of a moot point, considering that all other specs are pretty much the same.
