I bought myself the cheaper Asus N61VG after selling my more expensive Asus G50V due to financial reasons.

    On my Asus N61VG, the highest resolution I can get is 1366 x 768 (guess I am use to the 1680 x 1050 from my G50!! :( )

Now, I play BF2, and the max res I could play is 1024x768. I dont like it obviously because of the low res and does not fill up my 16"wide screen.

Is there any way I could change settings, or play on higher res? What is the best advice you can offer, please! :) Many thanks.

I just found this link on YouTube for BF2 specifically: (hack/fix to play widescreen)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&v=Wh0kqHV1-uA

I will try that with my max res (1366 x 768) and see what happens and let you guys know.

I am very sad though about my low resolution and gaming. When I get time I would connect my laptop to my 32" Widescreen TV and try some gaming on there, maxing out my res, see if it works differently/better whatever the case may be :)

You guys still more than welcome to leave a comment or any issue related problem here!

LOL replying on my own thread... :p

Yes I have fixed it with the help of the YouTube clip. At first I could only select
    • 800x600
    • 1024x768

Now I can select all 4 resolutions
    • 800x600
    • 1024x768
    • 1280x720
    and now
    • 1366x768!!!
Its not as good as 1680x1050, but its much better than 1024x768!

All done and dusted, I am happy now :) Hope this thread will help those guys in the future who are looking for the same advice!
